- The MATADOR® metal
ceiling system is both functional and decorative.
- Their sturdy
finish resists the most trying weather conditions as well as
chemical vapours, making them useful both indoors and outdoors.
- Light fittings,
air conditioning and ventilation grilles as well as fire fighting
systems can be installed into the MATADOR® ceilings.
- The MATADOR ®
85/84 D consists of aluminium strips with a thickness of 0.5 mm. A
height of 15mm and a width of 85 mm, provide a 100mm module ceiling
when erected. Ten metres run of MATADOR® strips covers an area of
one square metre.
- The strips are
stove enamelled polyster painted in the basic standard white colour.
Special colours can also be supplied to RAL.
- These ceilings can
be supplied in both plain and perforated forms. Upon installation
rockwool backing can be used to achieve a high coefficient of sound
- In preparation for
installation, the ceiling area is first measured and then divided up
so that the carriers can be placed at distances not exceeding 1.5 m.
- The positions of
the wire hangers are marked on the structural soffit, taking care
not to exceed a distance of 1.2 m between hangers along the

- The height of the
carriers adjacent to the wall should be corrected first, then the
remainder can be levelled.
- The adjustment
clips are located into the slots through the tapered section of the
carriers. Carrier Splices join the carriers together by screwing
them at the joints.
- Panels & joints
are then clipped onto the carriers.
